You’ve picked up those dusty old scripts and tried to get into the head of a writer long since dead. You’ve done your best to keep the director happy and do exactly as they say …”Move stage right and down to the table - now pause - not that long - go - go - go - go now” … you’ve performed for audiences yawning through a story they know like the back of their hand. Now you’re ready for the next challenge. Now you’re ready to question the classics and build the stories of tomorrow!
If this sounds like you, join the Education Department at Lakeshore for one of our entirely unique theatrical experiences! LPT will perform these reimagined classics throughout the year, so check back for auditions! We look for students who are eager to collaborate, listen to new perspectives, and use their imagination to generate a completely new piece of theatre.
Lakeshore Players Theatre arts education programs include a range of classes and workshops for adults, K-12th grade programming, in-school residencies where Lakeshore Players Theatre brings the theatre right into the schools, plus fun summer programs.
Theatre arts education integrates life and learning through experience. Comprehensive classes are led by professional teaching artists to enhance creative expression while developing useful life skills. Lakeshore Players is thrilled to offer classes and workshops for all people, all ages, and all abilities.
Pre-registration is required for every program.
Capacity is limited and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
A class may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
If a class is cancelled, your registration fee will be returned.
Payment must be received for registration to be confirmed.
Registration will be confirmed by email.
Sorry, we cannot prorate, refund, or issue credit for missed classes.
Students must wear clothes and shoes that allow for movement.
